Fabricio “Wonder Boy” Andrade

Fabricio “Wonder Boy” Andrade exudes supreme confidence in himself today, but it took years to build his bravado and the skills to back it up.

Growing up in the Brazilian city of Fortaleza, Andrade faced difficulties and had low self-esteem. It didn’t help that the city lacked opportunities for him to reach his full potential.

But soon, everything changed.

At 13 years old, “Wonder Boy” found Muay Thai and fell in love with the sport. He trained diligently, often putting in long hours at the gym to sharpen his skills for competition. It paid off for the Fortaleza native, who quickly strung together some victories and earned praise from those around him.

Not only did that boost Andrade’s self-confidence, but he started to believe that he could leave home and achieve greatness in combat sports.

The Brazilian traveled all around the globe to compete in Muay Thai and kickboxing, amassing a professional record of 40-3. Hungrier for more challenges, he made the transition to MMA in 2014 and eventually found his way to the famed Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket, Thailand, in 2018.

After gaining some valuable MMA competition experience, Andrade joined ONE Championship in July 2020 and made an instant impact on the global stage.

With each new challenge, Andrade displayed his vast improvement and his journey culminated in capturing the ONE Bantamweight MMA World Title with a dominant TKO victory over long-time rival John Lineker at ONE Fight Night 7. 

“Wonder Boy” is still hungry for gold, though, and will look to add the vacant ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Title to his collection when he faces bantamweight Muay Thai king Jonathan Haggerty in the main event of ONE Fight Night 16 on Prime Video this November 3.
