Surging KO Artists Sean Climaco And Johan Estupinan Set To Clash At ONE 168: Denver
A pair of rising stars have been added to ONE 168: Denver on Friday, September 6.
Sean “The One” Climaco and Johan “Panda Kick” Estupinan will face off in a flyweight Muay Thai clash live in U.S. primetime when the world’s largest martial arts organization returns to North American soil.
California’s Climaco will compete in front of a partisan crowd at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, with the home support sure to make him even hungrier to extend his unbeaten record in the organization.
After winning a Road To ONE tournament with a trio of knockouts, Climaco showed he was ready for the step up when he decimated Josue “Tuzo” Cruz at ONE Fight Night 22.
The 30-year-old finished the Mexican striker with a body shot in the opening round and made a huge statement of intent in the stacked flyweight ranks.
“The One” believes he can hang with the division’s upper echelon, and another impressive performance would go a long way toward proving his point.
In the opposite corner, Estupinan became the first-ever Colombian athlete in ONE history when he debuted against Kouta “Black Samurai” Omori at ONE Friday Fights 64 in May – and he represented his nation in style with a 27-second KO.
“Panda Kick” returned against Zafer Sayik at ONE 167 in June, dropping his Turkish foe twice en route to a unanimous decision win.
Now a perfect 24-0 overall with back-to-back ONE wins, the 21-year-old Estupinan wants to prove he is a threat to the top order in his toughest test yet.
A victory over Climaco would be a massive feather in his cap and push him closer to the top-five rankings.
Both Climaco and Estupinan have slick skills and concussive strikes, which means the American fans will be treated to something spectacular when this battle goes down on September 6.
The matchup also adds to a massive lineup that already features a trio of World Title fights and some of ONE’s most revered athletes.
