Rodtang Spars With Martial Arts Influencer Shane Fazen On U.S. Seminar Tour
Muay Thai megastar Rodtang Jitmuangnon has been sharing his incredible skills during a seminar tour of the United States, and he’s bumped into some well-known faces along the way.
One of those is Shane Fazen, the YouTube and social media star behind FIGHTTIPS – an online vault of martial arts training videos to help people learn MMA and striking.
Fazen is a lifelong martial artist who’s trained and competed in taekwondo, Muay Thai, and western boxing. He managed to grab some sparring rounds with the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion at the end of their session in New Jersey.
The American posted:
“So this just happened 🙃… sparring with @rodtang_jimungnon at @drivengym powered by @houseofdragonsinternational.”
Rodtang allowed his training partner to work while pressuring him with his famous walk-forward style.
For his part, Fazen showed some good hands in the exchange, although “The Iron Man” remained unflustered.
Recalling the rounds, Fazen offered:
“I had a couple of good moments, too… but in typical “Iron Man” fashion, @rodtang_jimungnon just walked right through my shots 🤖”
Rodtang didn’t let Fazen have it all his own way, however. The Thai superstar sent his sparring partner to the deck with a well-timed sweep when the pair clinched up.
Still, the FIGHTTIPS founder clearly enjoyed the chance to train with a Muay Thai great and added to his pool of knowledge by spending some time with the Jitmuangnon athlete.
Next, Rodtang returns to the Circle in a ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix semifinal bout against Savvas Michael at ONE 161: Moraes vs. Johnson II.
The contest airs live in U.S. primetime on Friday, August 26, from the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
