Rodtang Jitmuangnon Throws Shade At Savvas Michael Ahead Of ONE On Prime Video 1
ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon just fired a massive shot at his upcoming opponent at ONE on Prime Video 1: Moraes vs. Johnson II.
Rodtang – who will face #4-ranked contender Savvas Michael in the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix semifinals this Friday, August 26 – recently posted a unique split image with a fiery caption on his Instagram profile.
The left side of the image featured his younger self, while the right side featured his present state. That was accompanied by the following sentence:
“Savvas can’t beat me. He wouldn’t even be able to beat me as a kid.”
The Thai megastar’s striking brilliance has led to a flawless 11-0 record in ONE Championship’s Muay Thai and kickboxing divisions, and he is confident that he’ll earn his 12th promotional victory on Friday.
Even during a recent interview, the flyweight Muay Thai king did not seem concerned about Michael’s skill set or what new tricks he may have learned.
Rodtang previously said:
“I’m not too worried about Savvas’ changed fighting style. I’ll apply my own style. I’ll try to see the weaknesses of my opponents and deal with each round. And I’ll see how to adapt my style if I fall behind. If moving forward is bad for me, I’ll see how I can change.”
Rodtang Jitmuangnon’s Reason For Entering The Grand Prix
Rodtang Jitmuangnon may hold the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Title, but he isn’t completely satisfied. He wants the tournament’s prestigious silver belt, too.
If he can beat Savvas Michael and go on to win the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix Championship Final later this year, then the Bangkok-based athlete would obtain that second strap.
In the process, he would have effectively wiped out the entire flyweight Muay Thai division.
“The Iron Man” said:
“The World Grand Prix Championship means so much to me. I now have the main belt for Muay Thai, and everyone is looking to take it from me. That’s why I decided to join this Grand Prix and try to be the champion.
“If I get the win, no one in this rank can challenge me because then I’d have my main belt and the World Grand Prix belt.”
