Reigning heavyweight and light heavyweight king Anatoly Malykhin made history when he defeated Reinier de Ridder in their rematch to claim the ONE Middleweight MMA World Championship in the main event.
The Russian superstar overwhelmed the Dutchman, ultimately earning a third-round TKO victory. In the process, Malykhin became the first man in history to win three MMA World Titles.
Also, in the co-main event, Tang Kai knocked out Thanh Le to unify the ONE Featherweight MMA World Championship.
Following a couple of tentative rounds, the Chinese dynamo dropped Le with a massive right hook in the third frame and unloaded heavy ground-and-pound to seal the victory in their rematch.
In addition, the ONE Strawweight MMA World Championship changed hands.
Defending titleholder Jarred Brooks inadvertently slammed Filipino challenger Joshua Pacio on his head – and under the Global Mixed Martial Arts Rule Set, there are no slams to the head, neck, or spine allowed.
With the illegal move rendering Pacio unable to continue, the American was disqualified from the rematch and surrendered his belt to the challenger.
