Lito “Thunder Kid” Adiwang

Two-time Philippine National Wushu Champion Lito Adiwang had a challenging childhood, as his parents were from a rural region of the Philippines and struggled to make ends meet. From an early age, he had to earn whatever money he could to help support the family.

Adiwang took up boxing when he was young, and he soon pursued martial arts in greater depth. “Thunder Kid,” as he is now called, competed extensively in boxing, jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, and wushu sanda. Along the way, he won several regional medals and even became a national champion in wushu.

The Filipino made his professional mixed martial arts debut in 2012, and he finished six of his first eight opponents to earn a spot in Rich Franklin’s ONE Warrior Series. After racking up three more impressive victories on the show, he earned a main roster spot with the world’s largest martial arts organization in 2019.

Now, after a long stint with the famed Team Lakay camp, Adiwang is training with elite combat sports athletes at Soma Fight Club in Bali, Indonesia, and the explosive rising star plans to showcase some new tricks and earn his third straight win at ONE Fight Night 19.
