Full Card Revealed For ONE Friday Fights 65 On May 31
The next installment of ONE Friday Fights at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, has all the makings of an action-packed card from top to bottom.
ONE Friday Fights 65 goes down live in Asia primetime on May 31 and features no shortage of elite international talent.
In the headlining attraction, surging Thai sensation Puengluang Baanramba squares off with his 22-year-old compatriot Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi in an intriguing flyweight Muay Thai showdown between two of the country’s most dangerous strikers.
Puengluang has looked nothing short of spectacular through six appearances and six wins at ONE Friday Fights, showcasing his immense punching power and top-tier technical acumen each time.
His foe, Jaosuayai, has rightfully earned the reputation as one of Muay Thai’s most skilled rising stars. A fearless brawler with a deep gas tank, he boasts a 3-2 record at ONE Friday Fights and hopes to steal Puengluang’s thunder with an impressive victory in Bangkok.
Before that, in an all-Thai 128-pound catchweight Muay Thai clash, Petphupa Aekpujean takes on Longern Sor Sommai.
While each man has shown world-class abilities in ONE, they both come into this pivotal contest following defeats and will surely be hungry to bounce back to the win column and continue their climb toward a coveted spot on ONE’s global roster.
Lower on the card, Russian knockout artist Ilyas Musaev and Thai scrapper Yod-IQ Or Pimolsri run it back in a rematch of their thrilling December 2023 Muay Thai battle.
In that fight, Yod-IQ earned a narrow split-decision win after three electrifying rounds of high-paced action. If that bout was any indication, fans watching live at Lumpinee and around the globe should buckle up for another barnburner in the rematch.
Also, “Chinese Tiger” Zhang Jinhu hopes to give a rude welcome to promotional newcomer Soichiro Arata in a classic China-versus-Japan clash.
Both flyweight Muay Thai standouts have established themselves as entertaining strikers to keep an eye on, and either fighter could make waves with a knockout victory.
Muay Thai won’t be the only combat sport on the menu at ONE Friday Fights 65. The card features a pair of MMA bouts as well.
First, Ryosuke Honda and Ryosuke Noda will lock horns in an all-Japanese strawweight tilt.
After that, Filipino phenom Carlo Bumina-ang and ruthless finisher Chayan Oorzhak square off at bantamweight. Each fighter is undefeated at ONE Friday Fights, and both are undoubtedly well aware that a victory here would do wonders for their aspirations of making it to ONE’s global roster.
