Kulabdam Vs. Nabil Anane Tops ONE Friday Fights 69 On July 5, Full Card Revealed
Fans can expect another scintillating night of martial arts action when ONE Friday Fights 69 broadcasts live in Asia primetime from the Thai capital on July 5.
The crowd will be treated to 12 Muay Thai, MMA, and kickboxing bouts at the historic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, and the card is littered with fan favorites from top to bottom.
In the main event, revered knockout artist “Left Meteorite” Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai takes on rising star Nabil Anane in an elite bantamweight Muay Thai clash.
Kulabdam entered ONE Championship with two Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Titles to his name, and although he had a mixed start to life in the world’s largest martial arts organization, he was consistently duking it out in back-and-forth wars with the best of the best.
The 25-year-old Thai seemed to hit his stride in June 2023, as he remained unbeaten in his next five promotional outings. Though Kulabdam tasted defeat at the hands of former ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Hama – the most dominant force in the division’s history – in his most recent battle, he is eager to kick-start another impressive run.
Anane has a tough assignment in front of him, but that has never fazed the surging 20-year-old giant.
The two-division WBC Muay Thai World Champion took on “The Kicking Machine” Superlek Kiatmoo9 in his promotional debut back in June 2023. Although the Thai-Algerian slugger lost, he raised his stock for his willingness to test himself against the sport’s biggest names.
Now riding a two-fight winning streak with victories over Nakrob Fairtex and Muangthai PK Saenchai, Anane is ready to insert himself into the upper echelon of the division – and Kulabdam could be his ticket there.
In addition, Maisangkum Sor Yingcharoenkarnchang returns in search of his sixth consecutive ONE Friday Fights win.
Currently 5-0 with a trio of KOs, Maisangkum could be close to earning a six-figure contract with the world’s largest martial arts organization, but Petsansuk ChotBangsaen stands in his way.
Petsansuk debuted with a victory over Kohtao Petsomnuk last August, and he has the chance to steal his rival’s momentum on Friday evening.
There are plenty more battles to look forward to in “the art of eight limbs,” especially the clash between Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Pongsiri PK Saenchai and Lethwei icon “Man of Steel” Soe Lin Oo. The pair fought to a draw in Lethwei back in 2020, but this time, Pongsiri gets to face his old foe in his preferred rule set.
Unbeaten bantamweight stud Elbrus Osmanov puts his 10-0 slate on the line against Miao Aoqi in the lone kickboxing tilt of the night, and in the MMA ranks, Avazbek Kholmirzaev meets Changy Kara-Ool at strawweight and Jung Jun Hee squares off against Katsuaki Aoyagi at featherweight.
